About The Position

The Housekeeper provides routine support for environmental services at Hagerstown Nursing and Rehab, helping maintain high-quality resident care. The role works with team members to complete tasks in a timely, effective, well-organized, and safe manner, with a focus on quality resident care. The position is located at the facility in Hagerstown, Maryland.

Requirements

High school graduate or GED equivalent.
One year of experience is listed for the position.
Prior experience in a healthcare environment is desirable.

Responsibilities

Perform basic housekeeping support procedures for residents as required.
Report unsafe conditions, defective equipment, and maintenance needs to a supervisor.
Clean and sanitize all areas regularly; sweep and mop floors.
Remove trash and regularly wash trash receptacles.
Follow the daily cleaning schedule as directed.
Keep stock and supply areas organized.
Keep cleaning supplies locked in designated areas throughout the shift, during breaks and lunch, and at the end of the day.
Wash and sanitize resident rooms after discharge.
Follow instructed isolation-room cleaning procedures under infection-control policies and procedures.
Strip beds and linens for washing when required.
Attend and participate in scheduled training, education classes, and orientation programs to maintain and enhance quality of care.
Perform other related activities as assigned or requested.
Work within established departmental, center, and corporate policies and procedures, objectives, quality improvement programs, and safety, environmental, and infection-control standards.
