About The Position

The Grounds Keeper is a non-exempt maintenance technician responsible for keeping the property’s grounds, buildings, and common areas up to PMC standards. The role supports apartment turnovers, preventative maintenance, snow removal, and the upkeep of the property’s curb appeal. The Grounds Keeper also maintains organized storage and shop areas according to the company’s color-coded program. The position requires proximity to the property, travel to the site in inclement weather, and availability to respond to major emergencies.

Requirements

• Ability to work weekends, evenings, and flexible hours in an emergency situation.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Possess basic hand tools.
• Live within a reasonable distance from the property and be able to travel to the site in inclement weather.
• Be available to respond to all major emergencies.
• Provide a valid driver’s license and auto insurance.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that the grounds, buildings, and common areas meet PMC standards at all times.
• Complete turnovers within the allotted time and prepare them for move-in.
• Assist with preventative maintenance items as needed.
• Assist with snow removal as requested.
• Maintain the property’s curb appeal, including the path to the models and office.
• Assist with other duties as requested.
• Keep storage and shop areas neat, clean, and organized according to the company’s color-coded program.
• Respond to major emergencies.
