About The Position

North Los Angeles County Regional Center (NLACRC) is a private, nonprofit agency contracted with the California Department of Developmental Services to provide services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Consumer Services Coordinator provides information, advocacy, and service arrangements for consumers and families in the San Fernando Valley School Age 12 department. The position receives supervision from Consumer Services Supervisors or Managers. The coordinator participates in developing, monitoring, evaluating, and revising individual program plans; identifies and coordinates services; and completes documentation, forms, and reports in accordance with regulations and NLACRC policies and procedures. The coordinator advocates for individuals served by community agencies and schedules and attends interdisciplinary meetings with individuals, family members, providers, and advocates. The role also identifies service-delivery barriers and uses culturally sensitive strategies grounded in empathy, trust, and respect, including work in underserved communities and non-traditional office settings. This community-based position involves meeting with individuals and families at home, in the community, or at an NLACRC office. The regular pay range is $26.86–$37.96 per hour; starting salary is typically $26.86–$29.65, depending on internal equity and experience. NLACRC offers a hybrid-remote option for most positions.
