About The Position

Chewy is seeking a hands-on Consumer Insights Manager and analyst to strengthen its consumer-centric approach. The role leads small to mid-sized research projects, supports recurring insights programs, and turns data into clear business implications. Working with Consumer Insights leaders and partners across Marketing, Analytics, Product, and customer-facing teams, the manager connects findings across brand health, customer behavior, competitive intelligence, cultural insights, syndicated sources, and primary research. The position combines analytical work, detailed research execution, and communicating the story behind findings. It also supports larger strategic programs with senior Consumer Insights leads and helps teams apply evidence to marketing, brand, product, and customer experience decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, statistics, research, social sciences, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 5+ years of experience in consumer insights, market research, analytics, or a related field; ideally supporting consumer, retail, e-commerce, or technology brands.
  • Curious, proactive, hands-on collaborative approach; thoughtful questioning; ability to work across teams and in a fast-paced, often ambiguous environment.
  • Hands-on experience designing and executing quantitative and qualitative research, with the judgment to independently lead clearly scoped studies and seek guidance on larger or more ambiguous work.
  • Ability to work directly with crosstabs and datasets, analyze trends and audience differences, understand statistical significance, diagnose drivers, and reconcile findings across multiple sources.
  • Experience with brand health, equity, funnel, customer experience, NPS, or other tracking programs, including interpreting movement over time and competitive benchmarks.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills, including the ability to turn detailed analysis into a focused narrative, meaningful human insight, and practical business implications.
  • Strong project management, organization, and attention to detail, with the ability to balance multiple priorities and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Experience with survey platforms, Excel or similar analytical tools, and syndicated data sources such as Nielsen, MRI-Simmons, Numerator, or YouGov.
  • Experience coordinating research vendors and presenting findings to cross-functional stakeholders.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with visualization or statistical software.
  • Familiarity with brand-lift studies, upper-funnel media metrics, audience profiling, segmentation, and syndicated audience tools; ability to connect media results with broader brand-health and customer insights is strongly preferred.
  • Experience conducting qualitative interviews.

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage small to mid-sized quantitative and qualitative research studies from business question through research approach, questionnaire or discussion guide, fieldwork, analysis, and final story.
  • Support day-to-day management and analysis of brand tracking programs, including funnel performance, equity measures, audience differences, competitive context, and changes over time.
  • Partner with Brand, Media, and Analytics teams to evaluate campaign performance across awareness, ad recall, message association, familiarity, and consideration, and connect campaign results with brand-health trends.
  • Integrate findings from surveys, customer and behavioral metrics, syndicated tools, competitive intelligence, and prior research to identify patterns and business implications.
  • Create clear, concise reports and presentations that explain customer tensions, business impact, and recommended next steps.
  • Manage the DIY survey platform and omnibus, support monthly and quarterly reporting, and maintain quality, timing, and documentation for recurring programs.
  • Use audience platforms and syndicated tools to size and profile priority audiences and inform audience strategy, media planning, and activation.
  • Identify how cultural shifts and audience differences influence pet-parent needs, brand perceptions, and behaviors, translating findings into opportunities for relevant and inclusive marketing and customer experiences.
  • Support repeatable scorecards and benchmarks for upper-funnel performance across campaigns, channels, creative, and audiences.
  • Review survey programming, sample plans, data tables, outputs, and deliverables for accuracy; identify and resolve inconsistencies before sharing work with stakeholders.
  • Partner with senior Consumer Insights leads on high-impact initiatives by owning analyses, research workstreams, timelines, and deliverables across multiple priorities.
  • Present findings in working sessions and stakeholder presentations, answer follow-up questions with evidence, and help teams apply insights to marketing, brand, product, and customer experience decisions.
