About The Position

Vivmark Residential is hiring a Construction Intern in Construction Support Services (preconstruction), located at one or more construction projects in its construction markets. The internship provides hands-on experience in construction management for multifamily apartment communities, with a focus on supporting the planning and estimating of new construction projects. Interns consider product type, materials, schedules, and other project factors while collaborating with Superintendents, Project Managers, Subcontractors, Lead Engineers, and Architects. The intern will learn how project changes, clarifications, directives, and RFIs are updated and coordinated in real time with team members, subcontractors, and suppliers to maintain efficient schedules. All Construction Interns also participate in a Summer Learning Series led by Vivmark Construction leaders, providing exposure to construction-industry roles and Vivmark's construction processes. The intern will learn about Vivmark's Incident and Injury-Free Workplace safety culture, how to recognize and reinforce safe practices, and applicable safety laws and regulations.

Requirements

Be enrolled in an undergraduate Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related program.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong math comprehension and calculation skills.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and estimating of new construction projects, considering product type, materials, schedule, and other factors.
