About The Position

Vivmark Residential is hiring Construction Interns for New Construction and Capital Projects (redevelopment). Internships will take place at one or more construction projects in Vivmark’s construction markets. The role provides hands-on experience in construction management for multifamily apartment communities during the summer. New Construction interns may gain exposure to site and concrete work, framing, rough mechanicals, finishes, budgeting, and scheduling. Capital Projects interns work at occupied communities undergoing significant redevelopment and learn construction and subcontractor management while helping maintain an orderly living environment for current residents. Interns collaborate with Superintendents, Project Managers, Subcontractors, Lead Engineers, and Architects. They learn how changes, clarifications, directives, and RFIs are updated and coordinated in real time with project teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to support efficient schedules. All Construction Interns also participate in a Summer Learning Series led by Vivmark Construction leaders, covering industry roles and Vivmark’s construction processes. Interns are introduced to the company’s Incident and Injury-Free Workplace safety culture, safe work practices, and relevant safety laws and regulations.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related program.
Ability to quickly learn new skills and curiosity about the construction process and industry.
Exceptional time management and organization skills.
Bias for action and eagerness to see tasks through to completion.
Strong attention to detail.
Desire to expand and apply academic construction management knowledge in real-world situations and gain exposure to new areas of the business.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, particularly Excel and Word.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong math comprehension and calculation skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior construction-related internship or work experience is beneficial but not required.

Responsibilities
