About The Position

Vivmark Residential is hiring a Construction Intern in Construction Support Services (preconstruction), located at one or more construction projects in its construction markets. The internship provides hands-on experience in construction management for multifamily apartment communities, with a focus on supporting the planning and estimating of new construction projects based on product type, materials, schedules, and other considerations. The intern will work with Superintendents, Project Managers, Subcontractors, Lead Engineers, and Architects to learn how construction teams coordinate project roles and how changes, clarifications, directives, and RFIs are updated and communicated with team members, subcontractors, and suppliers to keep schedules efficient. Interns also participate in a Summer Learning Series led by Vivmark Construction leaders, covering construction-industry roles and Vivmark's construction processes. The role includes learning about the company's Incident and Injury-Free Workplace safety culture, recognizing and reinforcing safety practices, and understanding applicable safety laws and regulations.

Requirements

Must be enrolled in an undergraduate Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related program.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
Effective verbal and written communication skills.
Strong math comprehension and calculation skills.

Responsibilities

Support the planning and estimating of new construction projects, considering product type, materials, schedule, and other factors.
