About The Position

Twining, Inc., an innovative engineering, testing, and inspection company, is seeking a Construction Quality Control Manager to work on a project in the Concord area at the Motco Military Base.

Requirements

  • Degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience on large Army Corps projects.
  • Current certification by the Army Corps or Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Construction Quality Management is highly desirable.
  • Have or are willing to obtain QCM certification.
  • Experience with hazard identification, safety compliance, and sustainability.
  • Strong understanding of construction materials, engineering principles, and field inspection/testing procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, technical specifications, and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with owners, engineers, contractors, and field staff.
  • Strong documentation, reporting, and organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment.
  • Valid driver’s license.

Nice To Haves

  • Current certification by the Army Corps or Naval Facilities Engineering Systems Command Construction Quality Management is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the implementation of the CQCM Plan and serving as the Site Safety and Health Officer (SSHO).
  • The CQC Manager oversees QC activities.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain the project-specific Quality Control Plan, including updates as work progresses.
  • Conduct daily quality inspections, document findings, and ensure all work complies with project plans, specifications, and applicable codes.
  • Review and approve subcontractor submittals, including materials, mix designs, installation procedures, and equipment documentation.
  • Ensure qualified technicians perform all onsite testing and review test reports for accuracy and compliance.
  • Coordinate with the Contractor, Owner, and design team to resolve nonconformance issues, track NCRs, and verify corrective actions.
  • Maintain complete and organized QC documentation, including inspection forms, test reports, RFIs, submittal logs, and daily reports.
  • Review project drawings, specifications, and updated revisions to ensure field compliance and communicate changes to project teams.
  • Monitor subcontractor operations to ensure proper construction methods, sequencing, and installation per approved plans.
  • Participate in progress meetings and quality coordination meetings and regularly interface with client representatives.
