About The Position

Murphy’s Family Staffing is recruiting an experienced Construction Project Manager to oversee multiple restaurant and retail construction projects from planning through completion. This is a full-time, direct-hire opportunity requiring specific restaurant and retail construction experience. The position covers ground-up construction, tenant build-outs, and open-door remodels, with responsibility for managing projects from pre-construction through final completion.

The role is based in Reston, Virginia, with hybrid work flexibility. The listed base salary is $115,000–$130,000, and the position includes a company vehicle. Restaurant and retail construction experience is required; candidates without this background will not be considered.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of project management experience specifically in restaurant and retail construction.
• Proven experience with both ground-up construction and tenant build-outs.
• Strong construction scheduling and budgeting experience.
• Proven ability to manage multiple concurrent projects.
• Ability to read and interpret construction blueprints and architectural plans.
• Strong contractor, vendor, and client management skills.
• Proficiency with Procore, Primavera, Raken, or similar construction management software.
• Strong organization, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with open-door remodels.
• PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple restaurant and retail construction projects simultaneously.
• Oversee project schedules, budgets, resources, and timelines.
• Coordinate contractors, vendors, clients, and internal teams.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor safety, quality, and code compliance.
• Review and interpret architectural drawings, blueprints, and site plans.
• Track project costs and implement cost-control measures.
• Identify scheduling risks and resolve issues before they affect deadlines.
• Lead project meetings and keep stakeholders aligned.
• Manage projects from pre-construction through final completion.
