About The Position

GFT is seeking Construction Inspectors to join its Construction Services team in Pennsylvania. The role involves inspecting medium to large-scale water and wastewater projects throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. GFT provides construction and program management services, overseeing construction phases to support timely, on-budget delivery and high safety and quality standards.

The successful candidate will inspect water and wastewater projects under the general supervision of the Construction Manager. The position also involves tracking and inspecting contractor activities, measuring completed work for payment, identifying materials or procedures that do not comply with plans or specifications, and maintaining daily inspection records. The inspector will help coordinate equipment start-up at treatment and pumping station facilities, inspect traffic controls and other worksite safety items, and coordinate with contractors, owners, and the general public as needed.

This is a full-time position with a hybrid in-person and remote work environment. Locations include Philadelphia, Allentown, and Audubon, Pennsylvania. Core business hours are 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Salary is $70,000–$90,000, dependent on experience and geographic location.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 5 years of experience inspecting water/wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect water and wastewater projects under the general supervision of the Construction Manager.
• Track and inspect contractors’ daily activities, measure completed work, and record it for payment.
• Identify project materials and procedures that do not comply with plans or specifications.
• Submit daily diaries or inspection logs detailing daily activities, labor, and equipment.
• Provide guidance and coordination to contractors and owners during equipment start-up at treatment and pumping station facilities.
• Inspect traffic controls and other worksite items for safety and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, owners, and the general public as necessary to facilitate construction operations.
