About The Position

GFT is hiring Construction Inspectors for its Construction Services team to inspect medium- to large-scale water and wastewater projects throughout Eastern Pennsylvania. The role supports construction and program management work intended to help ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and to high safety and quality standards. The successful candidate works under the general supervision of the Construction Manager.

Requirements

• High school graduate or GED.
• Valid driver’s license.
• At least 5 years of experience inspecting water and wastewater treatment facilities, pipelines, pump stations, and reservoirs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect water and wastewater construction projects.
• Track and inspect contractors’ daily activities, measure completed work items, and record them for payment.
• Identify when project materials or procedures do not comply with plans or specifications.
• Submit daily diaries or inspection logs documenting activities, labor, and equipment.
• Guide and coordinate contractors and owners during equipment start-up at treatment and pumping station facilities.
• Inspect traffic controls and other worksite items for safety and compliance with standards.
• Coordinate with contractors, the owner, and the general public as necessary to facilitate construction operations.
