About The Position

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., a Caterpillar dealership, is seeking a motivated, self-directed technician to service construction paving equipment. The role focuses on independently troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing paving equipment in the field. When field service work is not assigned, the technician performs equipment repair and maintenance in the shop. Customer satisfaction is a primary concern, so the technician must communicate effectively with customers and help solve problems.

Requirements

Knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, electronics, and paving equipment.
Intermediate computer skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good human relations skills and the ability to communicate and problem-solve with customers.
Graduate of a technical school or military school, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company.
Meet DOT regulatory and CBE requirements for operating CBE or related vehicles.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Physical capacity for the listed activities, including sitting, standing, climbing, walking, lifting, pulling, pushing, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching.

Responsibilities

Independently troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair paving equipment in the field.
Perform shop-based equipment repair and maintenance when not assigned to field service work.
Communicate with customers and problem-solve with a focus on customer satisfaction.
Meet DOT and CBE requirements for operating CBE or related vehicles and sign required documentation.
