About The Position

Cleveland Brothers Equipment Co., Inc., an authorized Caterpillar dealer, is hiring a Construction Equipment Field Technician. The role involves independently diagnosing and repairing equipment while communicating with customers and solving problems. Customer satisfaction is a primary concern. The successful candidate should be a motivated self-starter with strong human-relations skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. The position works in an industrial environment with exposure to noise, heat, cold, potential injury, and atmospheric conditions. It requires physical stamina and the ability to perform a range of movements, including climbing, walking, lifting, carrying, reaching, stooping, and crouching. The technician must be able to lift 50 pounds and meet applicable DOT and Cleveland Brothers requirements for operating company or related vehicles and completing required documentation.

Requirements

Knowledge of diesel engines.
Knowledge of hydraulics.
Knowledge of electronics.
Intermediate computer skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Good human-relations skills and the ability to communicate and problem-solve with customers.
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Must meet DOT regulatory and Cleveland Brothers requirements for operating company or related vehicles and sign required documentation.
Graduation from a technical school or military school, or relevant working experience acceptable to the company.
Physical stamina and motor coordination, including coordination of eyes, hands, and feet; verbal and numerical intelligence.
