About The Position
PRG is seeking an Engineering Construction Coordinator for its Lakewood market. The role uses advanced GIS technology and data analytics to optimize operations for telecommunications and utilities clients. The coordinator manages geographic data with GIS tools and develops actionable insights through spatial analysis.
Requirements
- At least two years of experience in GIS applications, with an emphasis on operational analytics.
- Proven experience in GIS mapping and spatial data analysis using software such as ArcGIS, QGIS, 3GIS, and Google Earth.
- Bachelor's degree in Geography, GIS, or a related field.
- Proficiency with database programming languages such as SQL, Python, and JavaScript.
- Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple complex projects precisely.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including the ability to turn complex datasets into actionable insights.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain complex information clearly and engagingly.
Responsibilities
- Use GIS software such as 3GIS, ArcGIS, and QGIS to analyze geographic data and identify patterns and trends.
- Create digital maps and maintain comprehensive network maps for internal and external stakeholders.
- Develop and analyze models and calculators to forecast expansion needs and operational efficiencies.
- Create and maintain models using vendor-provided data to identify averages and trends.
- Develop specialized mapping applications and tools focused on the fiber network across various cities.
- Run large queries to create data-analysis models from geodatabases (GDBs).
- Work with shapefiles and ensure accurate geographic data representation.
- Integrate parcel and addressing data for specified regions.
- Use Google Sheets and Microsoft Excel for data analysis, including pivot tables, charts, and graphs.
- Use spreadsheet tools for statistical analysis and resolving related issues.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
