About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and dependable Construction Cleaning worker to support construction projects and help ensure their successful completion. The role involves preparing and cleaning job sites, moving materials and equipment, and assisting skilled tradespeople with assigned tasks. Candidates should have a strong work ethic, attention to detail, punctuality, reliable attendance, and the ability to follow instructions and work safely and efficiently in varied weather conditions. This is a seasonal, full-time, non-exempt hourly position in Charlottesville, Virginia, paying from $20.00 per hour. The schedule is 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM. Overtime and weekend work may be required based on project needs, weather conditions, and operational demands. Work is primarily outdoors on active construction sites and uneven terrain, with exposure to weather, dust, dirt, and construction debris. Construction hand and power tools may be used; machinery may be operated only when properly trained and authorized. Requirements

Authorized to work in the United States.
Reliable transportation to assigned job sites.
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and perform physical labor throughout the shift.
Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
Strong attendance and reliability.
Ability to follow directions and work effectively as part of a team.

Nice To Haves

Previous construction or general labor experience.
Basic knowledge of routine care and maintenance of construction tools and equipment.

Responsibilities

Clean and prepare construction sites, remove debris, and keep work areas organized.
Follow supervisors’ instructions to complete manual labor tasks.
Follow site safety procedures and wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
Promptly report equipment problems, unsafe conditions, and job site hazards to the supervisor.
Support construction projects by moving materials and equipment, loading and unloading supplies, and assisting skilled tradespeople with assigned tasks.
Dig as needed for project work.
