About The Position

Tarter Krinsky & Drogin LLP (TKD) is seeking an experienced Construction Associate to join its Construction Group in New York City. The group represents corporate and institutional owners and developers in transactional and dispute-related construction matters, handling matters ranging from construction and design agreements to leasing, financing, and resulting litigation. It also advises on complex projects involving multiple contractors, architects, and engineers, and represents clients across construction-related sectors, including development, retail, nonprofit, healthcare, education, banking, contracting, and design. The ideal candidate has 3–12 years of hands-on experience in construction law, real estate law, or commercial litigation. The role calls for substantial experience negotiating and drafting license and access agreements for adjacent construction projects, including matters arising from RPAPL 881 proceedings. Experience with mechanics’ liens and lien foreclosures, construction and design defects, and construction delay claims is also highly desirable. The candidate will collaborate with attorneys across a broad range of practice areas. TKD describes itself as an entrepreneurial, growing, supportive, and collegial mid-size firm where employees can contribute meaningfully and develop professionally. The firm maintains a hybrid schedule: in-office Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, with the option to work remotely Mondays and Fridays. The firm emphasizes professional development, inclusion, and diversity. The good-faith annual base salary range is $130,000–$215,000. The firm offers medical, dental, and vision insurance; a 401(k); disability and life insurance; and paid time off.
