About The Position

Murray Company seeks a full-time Administrative Assistant/ Receptionist for its Des Moines, IA office. This role is the first point of contact for the public, providing professional support and comprehensive administrative assistance across departments. The position involves managing phone calls, visitors, meetings, travel arrangements, correspondence, and document preparation. It also includes supporting project teams with contracts, bids, and tracking systems, as well as managing office operations like supply inventory, mail processing, scheduling, and coordinating events and off-site meetings.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or zero (0) to two (2) years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Available to work Monday through Friday during standard office hours of 8 AM to 5 PM, with flexibility as needed.

Nice To Haves

  • Construction experience preferred but not required.
