About The Position

Childs Play is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Construction Part-Time Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable Clerk to support our accounting team. This role is essential to maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting project operations. This individual will provide critical administrative and accounting support. And will play a key role in ensuring smooth communication and coordination between subcontractors, vendors and clients. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to anticipate and respond to needs in a fast-paced environment. This role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring timely payments, and supporting project operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years A/P and A/R experience (construction industry preferred)
• Knowledge of basic accounting principles
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Construction accounting software experience in QuickBooks preferred
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, manage deadlines, and communicate effectively

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable (invoices, purchase orders)
• Accounts Receivable payment processing
• Reconcile bank statements, credit card statements, and project-related expenses
• Maintain accurate and organized financial records
• Communicate with vendors, subcontractors, and clients
• Provide administrative support to the accounting department
