About The Position

ArcelorMittal Exploitation minière Canada is seeking an Organizational Development Advisor to play a strategic role in the design, implementation, and evaluation of programs related to talent management and organizational effectiveness. Reporting to the Sector Director, you will be responsible for leading several structuring initiatives related to organizational culture, mobilization, talent development, change management, and succession planning. You will act as a key partner with HR teams, senior management, and various stakeholders to support the alignment between business objectives, employee needs, and best practices in human capital management.

Requirements

  • Required Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or Organizational Development, member of the Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agréés (CRHA or CRIA).
  • Experience: 2 to 5 years in a similar role, with recognized expertise in organizational development combined with good knowledge of change management.
  • Mobility: Availability to travel to our sites (approximately 15 to 20% of the time).
  • Key Skills: Ability to bring a strategic vision while skillfully collaborating with all hierarchical levels, easily moving from conceptualization to practical implementation. Results-oriented with great agility to manage changing priorities in a transforming environment. Excellent interpersonal skills and strong influence capacity. Strong results orientation and customer service focus. Excellent communication skills (oral, written, facilitation). Strong analytical and synthesis skills. Flexibility and ability to evolve in complex or ambiguous contexts.
  • Technology: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Languages: Given the regular interactions with the corporate team located outside of Canada, advanced knowledge of English – oral and written – is required.

Responsibilities

  • HR Strategies and Change Management: Actively participate in defining and deploying retention, mobilization, and engagement strategies in collaboration with local HR teams. Actively participate in the evolution project of our organizational culture. Develop and execute plans to manage change during significant initiatives and projects.
  • Talent Support and Development: Identify and support high-potential talents and our leaders through career interviews and individualized development plans, in close collaboration with managers. Develop and deploy an accelerated development program for our high-potential employees.
  • Succession Planning: Update and monitor succession plans, support concrete actions to secure key positions in the short, medium, and long term. Implement tools to promote internal mobility in collaboration with the strategic workforce planning team.
  • Psychometric Evaluation: Administer and interpret psychometric tests, provide constructive feedback, and support participants in their development.
  • Performance Management: Coordinate the annual performance management cycle, develop support tools for managers and employees, ensure follow-up of results.
  • Employee Engagement: Administer engagement surveys, analyze results, support managers in developing and monitoring action plans. Propose a redesign of our employee recognition program in line with our culture, pillars, and values.
