About The Position

The Concierge Host provides assistance with food-service functions in accordance with established policies and procedures. The primary responsibility is capturing meal orders for residents and guests and helping make their dining experience enjoyable. The role is part-time, on the day shift from 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM, and includes rotating weekends and some holidays. No late nights are required. The stated base wage is $14.50 per hour, with yearly wage increases. The position is based at Holt Senior Care & Rehab Center in Holt, Michigan. The facility describes itself as a 2025 National Quality Silver Award winner.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
ServSafe and allergen training.
Knowledge of food-service laws, regulations, and guidelines.
Good interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with residents, physicians, visitors, and facility personnel.
Excellent customer-service skills and commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care.

Nice To Haves

Starbucks Barista training is preferred.

Responsibilities

Greet guests and explain the menu and ordering process for daily specials and the Always Available Menu.
Meet and talk with guests daily and take meal orders.
Learn resident and guest preferences and collaborate with the RDN or Executive Chef to provide input to the Nutrition Management program.
Print meal production sheets for each meal and meal tickets.
Update the daily menu for the dining rooms.
Assist with serving palatable, appetizing meals and with preparing and serving food and snacks according to portion-control procedures, sanitary regulations, and established policies and procedures.
