About The Position

The Activities Aide delivers and leads daily life enrichment programs at Cascade Senior Care Center. Activities are designed to be therapeutic and promote health and well-being, and may include games, crafts, and other creative programs. The role supports a positive, welcoming environment for residents, their families, and visitors through hospitality, encouragement, and excellent customer service.

This position is available full-time or part-time, across all shifts. Schedules include rotating weekends (every other weekend) and some rotating holidays. No late nights are required.

Requirements

• Excellent customer service skills and a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care.
• Be a team player and support team members in getting the job done.

Nice To Haves

• One or more years of related experience in long-term care; preferred but not required.
• An associate degree in music or recreational therapy; preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Promote hospitality and excellent customer service in daily interactions with guests, families, and visitors.
• Encourage a positive, healthy environment through kind words and support.
• Assist with and lead group and one-on-one life enrichment programs.
• Encourage attendance at life enrichment programs and transport participants to and from them.
• Evaluate patients’ backgrounds, interests, abilities, physical limitations, and needs to support meaningful programming.
• Develop and display thematic and holiday decorations throughout the facility.
