Concession Stand Worker
About The Position
Process orders and serve food and beverages to customers in a courteous, friendly, and timely manner. Provide guests with an excellent entertainment experience by being customer-driven, team-centered, result-oriented, and ready to adapt to company improvements. The role includes preparing, setting up, maintaining, and closing the workstation; handling orders, cash, inventory, and guest inquiries; and following company policies and department procedures. The employee must meet the physical demands of the position, including regularly standing, using hands, reaching, and talking or hearing. The role also involves occasional walking, climbing or balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, and occasionally lifting or moving up to 25 pounds. The work environment includes travel between buildings and other areas, occasional exposure to fumes or airborne particles such as second-hand smoke, possible interactions with irate or difficult guests or staff, and noise levels ranging from light to moderate. A Pari-Mutuel Occupational License is required.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred, and/or at least 1–2 years of related hospitality, cashier, or retail service experience.
- May require knowledge of and ability to work with personal computers.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers.
- Strong communication skills and an understanding of guest services professionalism.
- Ability to solve problems and handle varied situations where limited standardization exists.
- Ability to interpret written, oral, diagrammatic, or schedule-based instructions.
- Requires a Pari-Mutuel Occupational License.
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Pick up and return the daily bank and deposit.
- Set up and break down the workstation daily and keep it clean.
- Accurately and promptly ring up customer orders.
- Maintain an accurate inventory of concession stand items.
- Greet guests in a friendly manner and ensure guest satisfaction.
- Keep the condiment area stocked and clean.
- Handle daily cash and cover shortages over $2.00 when the drawer is counted.
- Stay informed about food and drink specials, Gulfstream Park, and Guest Services resources to respond to guest inquiries.
- Arrive on time, in proper uniform, and at the assigned workstation at the scheduled shift start.
- Stay informed about the week-to-week work schedule and changes made according to business needs.
- Prepare supplies for daily service and set up and close the station while keeping it clean and organized.
- Follow department SOPs and policies regarding uniform, communication, and work duties.
- Follow Gulfstream Park policies and procedures to ensure employee and guest safety.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
