About The Position

The Concession Stand Lead is responsible for the successful operation of an assigned concession stand and supervises staff. The role involves selling food and beverages to event spectators, handling cash transactions, maintaining inventory, training stand attendants, and ensuring accurate timekeeping and compliance with applicable safety and health regulations. This is a seasonal role for Zoo Lights at the Oregon Zoo, running from November 13, 2026, through January 3, 2027. The stated pay is $23.67 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Sell concessions, including soft drinks and food items, to spectators at events.
• Receive customer payments and provide correct change.
• Monitor the cash drawer to ensure adequate change is available.
• Take inventory of supplies and equipment and maintain stock at the required operational level.
• Train stand attendants.
• Oversee accurate timekeeping and compliance with OSHA and Health Department regulations.
• Contribute to the team and exhibit professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
