About The Position

Levy is hiring a Catering Server for Oregon Zoo’s ZooLights program. Under the supervision of the catering captain, the server delivers and serves food at scheduled functions and helps ensure events are executed accurately. Duties include setting up and serving at functions, keeping event areas clean during and after events, breaking down setups, and returning leftover food and equipment to the catering facility promptly. The role may include driving a catering delivery truck.

Requirements

A valid driver's license may be required.
Must possess or be able to obtain a valid food handler's permit and/or alcohol servers' permit where required by state law.

Responsibilities

Assemble and deliver food and supplies for catered functions to scheduled locations.
Log and maintain food temperatures.
Arrange tables and decorations.
Set up buffet tables with food, beverages, and service items according to standards.
Serve food and beverages to guests.
Thoroughly clean the location after events.
Return food, beverages, serving equipment, and utensils to the catering facility.
Distribute and collect customer comment cards for catered functions.
Stock, clean, and maintain the catering facility and equipment.
Provide guests with friendly, courteous service.
Maintain in-depth knowledge of the complete menu and products on hand.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Follow safety and sanitation policies and procedures.
Perform other duties as assigned.
