About The Position

This role supports Cencora's U.S. distribution services, operated through its AmerisourceBergen business. The Computer Operator I performs routine system administration and operational support tasks under established procedures and approval requirements. Responsibilities include maintaining user accounts and access, monitoring system availability and basic performance, keeping administrative records and configuration logs, executing scheduled maintenance and system checks, and supporting incident and service-request intake.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, information systems, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Less than 2 years of experience in IT operations, technical support, infrastructure support, systems support, a technology environment, or a related field.

Nice To Haves

Certification in ITIL Foundation, CompTIA A+ or Network+, or cloud fundamentals (vendor-neutral or hyperscaler entry-level), or equivalent.

Responsibilities

Maintain user accounts, provision access, and make basic configuration updates according to established procedures and approval requirements.
Monitor system availability and basic performance indicators, and escalate anomalies, alerts, and service disruptions to senior team members.
Maintain organized system records, configuration logs, and administrative documentation for audit readiness and operational traceability.
Execute scheduled maintenance tasks, system checks, and administrative workflows using defined runbooks and operational procedures.
Log incident and service-request tickets, gather required information, and route issues to the appropriate team within established service management procedures.
