About The Position

Carpenter & Paterson, Inc. is hiring a full-time Computer Numerical Control Tech to work out of its office in Ellijay, Georgia. The role operates and maintains industrial CNC cutting equipment, handles and identifies materials, and supports department production targets while maintaining quality and a safe, orderly work area. The position involves an 8-hour shift in a warm environment and handling heavy objects over 50 pounds.

Requirements

Ability to measure quickly and accurately.
Experience working with steel and identifying materials such as pipes and beams.
Knowledge of moving equipment such as lift trucks and overhead cranes.
Exceptional attention to detail.
Strong computer skills.
Ability to stand and work in a warm environment for an 8-hour shift.
Good working knowledge of figures and numbers.
Ability to work quickly and efficiently.
Ability to lift and carry heavy objects over 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

Operate industrial CNC cutting equipment in accordance with the work order.
Rig and operate lift trucks and overhead cranes.
Identify and handle materials.
Assist the department foreman in meeting production targets.
Maintain quality standards.
Keep the work area clean and orderly.
Notify managers about non-conformities and the need for repairs to the facility or equipment.
Maintain a healthy and safe working environment.
