About The Position

This is a part-time adjunct instructor position for the Computer Information Systems program at Chattahoochee Technical College. The instructor will be responsible for all aspects of instruction, preparing students with employable skills for business and industry. Classes are offered at the Marietta and North Metro campuses, with both day and evening options, as well as online. Adjunct instructors are required to provide virtual office hours for their classes. This is a part-time position appointed on a per academic term basis, with no expectation of employment beyond the current term.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Information Systems, Information Systems, Information Technology or Computer Science from a regionally accredited four-year college or university.
Faculty must be credentialed to satisfy all appropriate accrediting bodies for the course assigned.

Nice To Haves

Master’s Degree in CIS, IT or CS
Experience/ coursework in Programming preferred
Nationally Recognized Certification
Experience with online instruction in a postsecondary setting; experience with Blackboard or other online learning management system
Postsecondary teaching experience with computer-assisted instruction, instructional technology, and student advisement/registration

Responsibilities

Performs all aspects of instruction for the Computer Information Systems program.
Provides instruction necessary to develop and sustain the Computer Information Systems program that prepares students with employable skills for business and industry.
Provide virtual office hours for their classes.
