About The Position
Sika is seeking an experienced Operator/Compounder to join its growing SIKA Power team in Grandview, supporting the Automotive and Industry team. The role involves producing quality product batches by combining chemicals in quantities specified by work orders and following procedures and vendor specifications. The position requires applying basic knowledge of chemical reactions, safely operating equipment, adhering to safety protocols, and maintaining a clean and safe work environment. The role is offered on either a first or second shift, Monday through Friday, with 8 hours worked per shift.
Requirements
- High school equivalency.
- Good attendance record.
- Ability to meet physical requirements.
- Ability to wear a respirator.
- Excellent communication skills characterized by sincerity, persuasiveness, and clarity of thought.
Responsibilities
- Combine chemicals in quantities specified by work orders to produce quality product batches.
- Read and follow procedures to create batches according to vendor specifications.
- Apply basic knowledge of chemical reactions to produce quality batches and address errors as needed.
- Adhere to safety protocols and safely operate required equipment.
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Perform miscellaneous duties requested by supervisors or team leads.
