About The Position

This position is responsible for maintaining the safety and security of all guests, employees, and physical assets of Skytop Lodge. The role involves patrolling the property, investigating incidents, assisting in emergencies, and managing locking systems. Additionally, the Security Officer will handle cash transport, improve safety standards, monitor employee dormitories, assist with guest services after 11 pm, and record employee temperatures while enforcing company policies.

Requirements

Good interpersonal and administrative skills.
Ability to communicate both in writing and orally.
Good judgment.
Must possess valid PA driver’s license.
Must possess a clean criminal record.
High school graduate.
Ability to understand verbal and written instructions.
Training in 1st Responder, CPR, Bloodborne Pathogens and AED required.
Knowledge of basic first-aid.
Must have a background in security.
Knowledge of fire and safety regulations pertaining to hotels.
Must be a team player.
Must be service-oriented.
Must be flexible.
Must be trustworthy.
Must be organized.
Must be able to work under pressure.
Must maintain a professional image representative of property.

Responsibilities

Patrolling the entire property and documenting rounds.
Investigating incidents occurring on property and submitting detailed reports.
Aiding in the event of fire or other emergency situations.
Investigating complaints and notifying law enforcement authorities as necessary.
Administering and maintaining locking systems throughout the property.
Transporting daily cash receipts to local banking institutions.
Initiating measures to improve or maintain safety and security standards.
Monitoring activities in employee dormitories for safety and welfare of residents.
Assisting with any guest services, which may be required after 11 pm.
Accurately recording the temperature of employees reporting to work and enforcing all policies and procedures set forth by the company.
