About The Position

The Compliance Coordinator acts as a liaison between internal departments and stakeholders to ensure compliance in projects and business initiatives. Key responsibilities include identifying and mitigating risks, managing clinical communications, ensuring adherence to compliance and regulatory standards, leading process change initiatives, and maintaining a mental health parity information repository and task tracking system. The role involves collaboration with multiple internal and external entities and maintaining accountability for process integrity and compliance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s level degree or equivalent experience.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a compliance role within a health care setting, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to follow directions and work independently
  • Concurrently handle multiple projects and tasks
  • Perform detailed work accurately and take initiative to learn new tasks.
  • Strong analytic, critical thinking, interpersonal, and technical skills.
  • Consistently demonstrate a high standard of personal and professional conduct, ethics, objectivity, judgement, and discretion.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle highly sensitive information with discretion.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) and Adobe Acrobat
  • History of interaction with all levels of an organization and types of internal and external stakeholders.
  • Must be flexible and able to manage multiple priorities and meet all applicable deadlines.
  • Willingness to work non-traditional hours as rarely needed to assist with urgent business needs.
  • Ability to pass background check upon hire and throughout employment to include criminal felony & misdemeanor search, SSN validation/trace search (LEIE), education report (highest degree obtained), civil upper and lower search, 7-year employment report, federal criminal search, statewide criminal search, widescreen plus national criminal search, health care sanctions-state med (SAM), national sex offender registry, prohibited parties (OFAC) (terrorist watchlist), and a 10-Panel Drug Screen.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and communicate with key stakeholders to ensure timely visibility and resolution of sensitive issues, compliance requests, and impacted tasks.
  • Manage and support internal and external compliance matters by triaging concerns, investigating root causes, collaborating with operational teams, drafting responses, and ensuring regulatory timelines are met.
  • Maintain accurate and compliant records by entering, tracking, and managing documents, data, timelines, and meeting minutes within compliance software and related systems.
  • Analyze and extract complaint and compliance data to identify trends, support reporting, and ensure documentation aligns with organizational and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct research and analysis of contractual, regulatory, and legal requirements, including monthly OIG exclusion and adverse action screenings, and participate in internal and external audits and regulatory inspections.
  • Support compliance operations by managing policies and procedures, coordinating meetings, assisting Compliance and Ethics initiatives, and maintaining organized digital workspaces in Microsoft Teams and internal systems.

  • Comply with all Federal and applicable State and local laws and Lucet Policies and Procedures regarding privacy, confidentiality, and security of health information, and other designated information.
