About the position
The Compliance Business Partner is responsible for ensuring that the Business Units' policies and processes align with regulatory requirements. They will monitor for changes in legal obligations, provide compliance advice, and oversee remediation plans. The Compliance Business Partner will collaborate with various departments to foster a culture of risk management and compliance. They will also analyze regulatory change management and compliance activities to identify trends and issues. This role reports to the Vice President of Servicing Compliance and interacts with key stakeholders and Business Unit leaders.
Responsibilities
- Research and analyze compliance trends and industry benchmarking
- Identify relevant regulatory changes and complete gap assessments
- Prepare remediation plans and oversee their implementation
- Drive corporate governance through compliance working groups
- Partner with Business Units to develop and review policies, procedures, standards, communications, controls, and tests
- Perform analysis and reporting on regulatory change management, Quality Control, complaints, and Compliance activities
- Serve as a designated Compliance resource and trusted advisor to various Business Units
- Partner and collaborate with Internal Audit, Quality Control, Consumer Ombudsman, and other functional areas within Compliance
- Participate in and facilitate meetings to provide regulatory risk advice and information on regulatory developments
- Meet RoundPoint's commitment to compliance
- Bachelor's degree in business or law related field, equivalent education or related training or experience
- Three or more years of mortgage servicing related experience
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint
- Strong working knowledge of compliance obligations associated with a servicing corporation
- Experience reading and interpreting regulations, laws, and statutes
- Strong research and writing skills
- Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines
- Able to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization and provide authoritative guidance
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Familiarity with research tools such as AllRegs and LexisNexis
- Knowledge of Black Knight MSP/Director 7
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business or law related field, equivalent education or related training or experience
- Three or more years of mortgage servicing related experience, demonstrating a high level of expertise in a variety of mortgage servicing topics and regulations
- Proficient with Microsoft Office products, including SharePoint
- Strong working knowledge of the compliance obligations associated with a servicing corporation
- Experience reading and interpreting regulations, laws, and statutes
- Strong research and writing skills
- Ability to manage and execute multiple complex projects within required timelines
- Able to work effectively with others at all levels across the organization and provide authoritative guidance to management and staff within the organization
- Exceptional organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Familiarity with research tools such as AllRegs and LexisNexis
- Knowledge of Black Knight MSP/Director 7
