About the position
The Business Operations Analyst at RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing Corporation is responsible for ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of annual tax statements for borrowers, vendors, the IRS, and states. They will maintain the integrity of information through system maintenance, collaborate with other departments, and identify process improvements. This role offers opportunities to learn various aspects of the mortgage business and interact with multiple stakeholders within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Submits IRS, state, and local filing in accordance with their guidelines
- Generates reports, validates data, and identifies exceptions
- Processes transactions accurately and timely in accordance with departmental and agency guidelines
- Documents the system with disposition of work items
- Identify issues, perform research and resolve issues with multiple potential outcomes
- Makes recommendations and facilitates improvement of controls within the department
- Define exception reporting that can improve processes and mitigate risk
- Identify and manage solutions to manual processes
- Ensure all policies and procedures reflect the actual processing within the area
- Gathering of any internal or external audit request materials
- Communicates any trends and / or problems and with recommended solutions to management
- May lead or assist in the completion of special projects
- Perform all duties in accordance with company policies and procedures
