About The Position

The Operations Analyst Program is a rotational development program offering broad exposure to business operations at Susquehanna and preparing participants for a Compliance Analyst role. During the first six months, participants rotate alongside the operations team, gaining exposure to trading desks and business areas through daily responsibilities and project work. The program also includes classroom training in company-specific knowledge, technical skills, and business effectiveness, as well as opportunities to build relationships across the firm.

After completing the program, the employee will join the compliance team, focusing on surveillance technology and analytics. The role supports development of a global surveillance platform, working with large market and trading datasets and applying machine learning, AI, and big data techniques to surveillance analytics. The employee will collaborate with surveillance, trading, technology, and operations teams and learn about U.S. broker-dealer regulation and securities including equities, options, and fixed income products. Senior members of the compliance and operations teams provide mentorship throughout the program.

Requirements

• Pursuing a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, Data Science, or a related field.
• Able to start full time in August 2027.
• Strong programming and data analysis skills demonstrated through coursework, projects, or internships.
• Ability to use AI tools thoughtfully, independently validate outputs, and explain reasoning.
• Ability to collaborate with a team and work independently.
• Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Python and SQL.
• Exposure to machine learning, AI, or large datasets.
• General knowledge of market structure and trading mechanics.

Responsibilities

• Participate in six months of rotations with the operations team, gaining exposure to trading desks and business areas.
• Complete daily responsibilities and project work that build understanding of the firm's operations and the flow of information relevant to compliance.
• Attend classroom training focused on company-specific knowledge, technical skills, and business effectiveness.
• Support the buildout of the firm's global surveillance platform.
• Work with large market and trading datasets and apply machine learning, AI, and big data techniques to surveillance analytics.
• Collaborate with surveillance, trading, technology, and operations teams.
• Develop knowledge of U.S. broker-dealer regulation and securities products, including equities, options, and fixed income.
