About The Position

Etsy is seeking a Community Programs Manager to join its Workplace Experience team and support the Employee Resource Group (ERG) program. This hands-on role will build the program’s operating structure, tools, and partnerships so ERG leaders and communities are well supported. The role uses feedback and judgment to strengthen how Etsy supports belonging, community, and employee participation. Reporting to the Senior Manager, Community & Belonging, the manager will own the day-to-day ERG experience, support ERG leaders, coordinate key program moments, improve ways of working, and connect ERGs with partners across People, Talent, Advocacy, Sustainability & Impact, and Workplace. The role may also support other Community & Belonging programs as priorities evolve. The Workplace Experience team creates programs, services, and everyday moments that help employees connect with one another, Etsy’s culture, and the office. The role is based with a preference for candidates within commuting distance of Etsy’s Brooklyn office, where team members generally work onsite once or twice per week depending on proximity. Remote candidates outside commuting distance may be considered case by case, with occasional travel to the office expected. Occasional travel and hands-on support for in-person events, including physical setup, are also required as needed.

Requirements

  • 3–5 years of experience in program management, employee community, DEI, HR, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting ERGs, employee-led communities, or other programs where trust, care, and strong operating discipline are important.
  • Strong program-management skills, including turning ambiguity into clear plans, building useful systems, and keeping multiple workstreams moving.
  • High emotional intelligence and sound judgment, including the ability to handle conversations about identity, belonging, and difficult topics with care and discretion.
  • Collaborative, service-oriented approach that supports employee leaders without taking ownership away from them.
  • Strong written communication skills and the ability to create clarity for a distributed, global audience.
  • Comfort working in a changing environment, identifying improvements, and helping others adopt better ways of working.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally and provide hands-on support for in-person events, including physical setup as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Own the day-to-day operating rhythm of Etsy’s ERG program, providing ERG leaders with clear expectations, tools, resources, and support.
  • Coordinate the ERG lead application, selection, onboarding, training, and transition process.
  • Partner with ERG leads to translate priorities into clear plans, milestones, and follow-through.
  • Build and maintain program infrastructure, including playbooks, calendars, trackers, templates, budget processes, and communication channels.
  • Support high-quality ERG programming and key moments, helping leaders with planning, partnerships, and escalation when needed.
  • Create stronger connections across ERGs so leaders can share ideas, learn from one another, and avoid duplicating work.
  • Gather feedback from ERG leaders and members, identify patterns and opportunities, and recommend how the program should evolve.
  • Maintain a reliable view of program activity, decisions, risks, and progress for Workplace and cross-functional partners.
  • Support the design, delivery, and ongoing improvement of other Community & Belonging programs as priorities evolve.
  • Provide occasional travel and hands-on support for in-person events, including physical setup as needed.
