About The Position

We are looking for a dynamic, organized, and people-oriented person to join our team as a Code Club Community Outreach & Operations Coordinator. Reporting directly to the Community and Partnerships Manager, you will be the engine behind our summer initiatives, helping us expand our reach, grow our volunteer base, and keep our data organized. This role is perfect for someone who loves building relationships, navigating digital tools, and thrives in a fast-paced, hybrid environment.

Requirements

  • A passion for technology, community, education and an interest in learning new things.
  • Experience facilitating or leading activities with youth and/or adults
  • A reliable space at home (or other quiet location) with dependable internet connectivity.
  • Must be fluently bilingual in both French and English.
  • Must be willing to complete Safeguarding training and have a clear background check.
  • Be aged between 15 and 30 years old on the start date of the job
  • Have a valid Social Insurance Number (SIN)
  • Be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada, or a person who has been granted refugee status in Canada.

Nice To Haves

  • Comfortable working with online platforms (Zoom, Google Workspace, Slack).
  • Experience with databases or CRM software and Micro:Bits an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and connect with local community partners, organizations, and potential venues to increase program visibility.
  • Support the recruitment cycle, including screening applicants and conducting orientation sessions to ensure new volunteers feel supported and ready.
  • Assist in the planning and execution of both in-person community gatherings and online webinars/workshops.
  • Maintain and update our CRM/database to ensure accurate tracking of outreach efforts, volunteer hours, and community growth.
  • Assist with scheduling, newsletters, and general communication.
