This Part-Time Community Outreach Associate position for the Galveston County 2026-2027 School Year (September - May) requires an outstanding individual to help prepare the next generation of girls. From September through May, you will be a role model for girls by conducting interactive programs at elementary schools in the LaMarque, Texas City, and Galveston areas. The role involves working with girls on contemporary issues such as peer pressure, self-esteem, health, and fitness, conflict resolution, bullying, valuing differences, healthy relationships, and financial literacy, among other topics in GSUSA’s National Program Portfolio. This is a part-time position ideal for someone seeking to develop a career in community outreach with a transformational nonprofit that provides a competitive salary and flexible hours.

Requirements

  • High school graduate minimum.
  • Valid Texas driver’s license and proof of insurance.
  • Able to lift and transport supplies sometimes more than 25 pounds.
  • Available 2 to 4 days during weekdays between 7:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.
  • Dependable, proactive individual with a strong willingness to help and work as a team.
  • Excellent communicator with a keen attention to detail.

Nice To Haves

  • Some college or degree preferred.
  • Experience working with youth.
  • Prior Girl Scout experience.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish).

Responsibilities

  • Conduct interactive programs at elementary schools in the LaMarque, Texas City, and Galveston areas.
  • Work with girls on contemporary issues such as peer pressure, self-esteem, health, and fitness, conflict resolution, bullying, valuing differences, healthy relationships, and financial literacy.
  • Pick up and transport program supplies to and from the Girl Scouts Center in Lake Jackson, as needed.
  • Travel to assigned communities.
