About The Position

We’re looking for a Community Operations Lead to take ownership of key parts of an upcoming event, including vendor coordination, guest experience, brand partnerships, and a charitable silent auction. This role begins as a one-event opportunity, giving us a chance to work closely together and see what’s possible. If it’s a strong fit on both sides, there’s potential for the role to grow into a broader leadership position focused on community operations and experience. This isn’t just a task-management role. We’re looking for someone who notices what needs to happen, communicates well, takes initiative, and genuinely cares about creating exceptional experiences for people.

Requirements

  • Highly organized with excellent follow-through.
  • Comfortable managing multiple moving pieces at once.
  • Warm, social, and great with people.
  • Clear and professional communicator.
  • Resourceful and skilled at problem-solving.
  • Proactive; you notice what needs to happen before being asked.
  • Strong judgment and the ability to represent the community well.
  • Excited about helping build a mission-driven community.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with events, partnerships, hospitality, fundraising, or community operations is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Lead vendor coordination from confirmation through event day, including communication, logistics, setup, and support.
  • Own the welcome and check-in experience, ensuring guests feel welcomed, informed, and connected from the moment they arrive.
  • Coordinate brand partnerships and product activations, including samples, giveaways, and in-kind collaborations.
  • Drive the silent auction initiative from planning to execution, including sourcing items, coordinating donors, setup, bidding, and follow-up.
  • Track open items, deadlines, and responsibilities across all assigned areas.
  • Coordinate with team members when projects overlap and escalate decisions when needed.
  • Be present during setup and the event to ensure each area is ready and to help solve issues as they arise.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to improve the event and community experience.

Benefits

  • Start with real ownership: this is not an assistant role; you’ll lead meaningful pieces of the event.
  • Work closely with a growing community: your ideas, judgment, and initiative will matter.
  • Help shape future initiatives: including charitable projects, volunteer leadership programs, dinners, and other community experiences.
  • Build systems that scale: around vendors, partners, volunteers, and the overall member experience.
  • Potential for long-term growth: if the partnership works well, this role may evolve into an ongoing leadership position in community operations.
