About The Position

CRM Rental Management, Inc. is seeking an experienced Community Manager for Olbiston Apartments in Utica, New York. The role focuses on creating a welcoming environment for residents while ensuring smooth property operations. The Community Manager promotes the property and builds a strong sense of community among residents, while managing affordable-housing compliance, leasing and resident records, recertifications, and related administrative processes.

Requirements

• 1–3 years of experience in affordable housing; HUD, LIHTC, or RD experience is required.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software.
• Strong leasing, bookkeeping, and administrative skills.
• Excellent communication and organizational abilities.
• Positive attitude and strong interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with HUD, DHCR, HFA, Fair Housing, ADA, OSHA, and all applicable laws.
• Process move-ins, move-outs, and security deposits using property management software.
• Maintain resident files, verifications, lease renewals, and collections.
• Coordinate and conduct lease renewals, interim recertifications, and annual recertifications.
• Promote the property and build a strong sense of community among residents.
