About The Position

Rainmaker is seeking a Community Manager + Events Coordinator to build grassroots awareness and brand loyalty through high-quality, on-brand public presence. This role will be responsible for organizing public-facing events and sponsorships, grassroots efforts, and representing Rainmaker at various venues. The ideal candidate is a strategist, connector, and communicator who can translate complex technical ideas into accessible language and identify key opportunities for public engagement. This is a highly autonomous role embedded within the Brand and Communications team, with the ability to significantly influence the public-facing profile of the company.

Requirements

Magnetically personable and obsessively organized.
Ability to translate complex or technical ideas into accessible language.
Experience managing moving parts without losing the thread (professional experience, internships, or significant self-initiated events).
Comfort speaking with people from a variety of backgrounds and seamlessly managing relationships.
A sense of aesthetics and an instinct for what feels right and what feels off.
Curiosity about frontier technology, science, and building a generational company.

Responsibilities

Coordinate logistics end-to-end for events, including venue, logistics, guests, run-of-show, vendor relationships, and post-event follow-through.
Ideate on creative, outside-the-box ways for Rainmaker to show up in the world.
Identify and pursue opportunities such as conferences, cultural moments, and community touchpoints that fit the brand.
Source local and regional press opportunities relevant to Rainmaker's mission.
Shoot and sometimes star in content that captures the energy of events and demos for company channels (optional).
