About The Position

Community Interface Services is seeking a compassionate and flexible Community Inclusion Professional to work one-to-one with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role supports participants in building independence and reaching their goals within their communities. It is 100% community based and involves appointments with participants in the Community Building program. Work may take place throughout San Diego, including coverage assignments as needed. Part-time and full-time work are available. Starting pay is $23–$25 per hour.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service, resourcefulness, and teaching skills.
• Compassion and flexibility to meet coverage needs throughout San Diego.
• A car in safe working order.
• Vehicle insurance.
• A valid California driver's license.
• At least two years of driving experience.
• A high school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• A bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Experience with the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) community.

Responsibilities

• Meet one-to-one with participants and provide resources or coaching to help them reach their goals.
• Support participants in navigating the community using public transportation.
• Help participants find social, recreational, or volunteer opportunities.
• Provide support with higher education.
• Document each individual's progress and provide input to further their independence.
• Work with the larger team to identify next steps for the program.
