About The Position

Community Interface Services is seeking a compassionate and flexible Community Inclusion Professional to work one-on-one with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities. The role supports participants in building independence within their communities through coaching, resources, and help pursuing their goals. It is 100% community based and involves appointments across San Diego, with flexibility to cover program needs. Part-time and full-time work are available. Starting pay is $23–$25 per hour.

Requirements

• Exceptional customer service, resourcefulness, and teaching skills.
• Compassionate and flexible approach to working with individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities.
• A car in safe working order.
• Vehicle insurance.
• Valid California driver's license.
• At least 2 years of driving experience.
• High school diploma.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor's degree.
• Experience with the intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) community.

Responsibilities

• Meet with participants in a 1-to-1 ratio for appointments in the Community Building program.
• Provide resources and coaching to help individuals reach their goals.
• Travel through the community using public transportation with participants.
• Help individuals find social, recreational, or volunteer opportunities.
• Provide higher education support.
• Document each individual's progress and provide input to support their independence.
• Work with the larger team to identify next steps for the program.
