The BioQuarter Community Impact Team is seeking an enthusiastic and organised Community Impact Assistant to support the delivery of a wide range of education, public engagement and community programmes across Edinburgh BioQuarter. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in event delivery, impact reporting, project support and community engagement within one of Scotland's leading centres of health, life sciences and innovation. Working across a diverse portfolio of activities, you will help coordinate events and workshops, support participants and partners, contribute to impact reporting, and ensure that resources and equipment are organised and available when needed. No two weeks will be the same, with opportunities to support school engagement activities, community events, public festivals, visits, workshops and volunteering programmes. You will help showcase the positive impact that Edinburgh BioQuarter's people and projects have on local communities. We are looking for a proactive individual with excellent organisational skills, strong written communication abilities and an interest in public engagement, education, events or community development. This post is part-time and only open to current University of Edinburgh PhD students as part of the Employ.ed for PhDs programme. The role will involve a mixture of office-based and event-based working, with occasional travel to local schools, community venues and partner organisations.
