Requirements
- Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
- Must meet the PA residency requirement
- Must be able to perform essential job functions
- Must pass a background investigation
- If you possess an active temporary practice permit, you must obtain licensure as a Registered Nurse within the one (1) year period defined by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing.
Responsibilities
- Review county level information to identify public health needs and guide program activities
- Coordinate with local partners to support public health initiatives and strengthen community resources
- Create public health initiatives using community data, established protocols, and nursing guidelines
- Track communicable and vaccine-preventable diseases using public health information systems
- Provide health education programs to increase public understanding of important health topics
- Offer outreach and case management to promote patient health and safety
