About The Position

For Our Future is hiring Community Canvassers and Team Leaders in Warren, Michigan, to conduct door-to-door voter outreach through October 25, with possible advancement afterward. The team connects directly with voters to encourage turnout for progressive candidates and leaders. Canvassing positions start at $24 per hour, and Team Leader positions start at $26 per hour. Fluent bilingual speakers may earn an additional $1 per hour. The job offers full-time and part-time options, with shifts from 10:45 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., Monday through Sunday. The role offers experience in leadership, communication and advocacy, community outreach and engagement, campaign work, public policy, and social enterprise. Employees receive paid training, sick pay, overtime pay, driver and shift bonuses, and bonuses for friend referrals. Employees must be eligible to work in the United States and, upon hire, present original, unexpired documents from the Lists of Acceptable Documents for I-9 verification. Responsibilities

Engage with the public in a friendly and respectful manner.
Deliver a compelling campaign message and collect complete survey answers from voters.
Participate in staff training to improve outreach skills.
Follow the campaign's safety protocols.
For Team Leaders: manage a small group of canvassers in the field, check in with them periodically, and debrief at the end of the day.
For Team Leaders: ensure each canvasser has the materials needed to be successful.
For Team Leaders: assist directors with canvasser training and administrative work.
