About The Position

Sunrise Senior Living is seeking a Community Bus Driver to provide safe, timely, and courteous transportation for residents. The driver supports residents’ comfort and safety during appointments and outings, maintains vehicles and required equipment, and completes driving documentation. The role also includes assisting with community activities when not driving. The driver contributes to resident safety, reliable transportation, and positive community experiences.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
• CPR certification, as required.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Ability to remain calm in emergencies.
• Ability to operate a wheelchair lift and secure mobility devices.
• Experience is required, as indicated by the posting title.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe transportation to appointments and outings.
• Assist residents in and out of vehicles and help them reach their destinations.
• Maintain focus on safe driving at all times.
• Conduct pre-trip and monthly vehicle inspections.
• Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety equipment.
• Complete required driving logs and documentation.
• Report changes in residents’ condition.
• Follow OSHA, infection control, and safety standards.
• Assist with activities when not driving.
