About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a PRN Community-Based Specialist for its Intercept® program in Madison, Indiana. Intercept is an evidence-based, intensive in-home program that aims to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or supporting reunification. It serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma. Services take place in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and use individualized, strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions to help families build lasting change, parenting skills, and communication skills. The specialist carries a small caseload on an as-needed basis and provides weekly individual and family sessions at times convenient for the families. The role includes ongoing youth assessment, collaboration with service providers and other stakeholders, crisis support, and timely documentation. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional to accommodate the availability of youth and families. Travel of up to 60–80 miles to meet families is required, with additional travel possible. Applicable mileage is reimbursed. The posted pay rate is $20–$22 per hour, based on education.
