About The Position

Youth Villages is hiring a PRN Community-Based Specialist for its Intercept® program, an evidence-based intensive, in-home service designed to keep families together by preventing out-of-home placements or facilitating reunification. The program serves youth from birth through age 18 who face serious emotional or behavioral challenges or have experienced trauma. Services are delivered in families’ homes and communities, not in an office, and use strength-based support and evidence-based mental health interventions to help families build parenting and communication skills and achieve lasting change. The specialist carries a small caseload as assigned on an as-needed basis and provides individual and family sessions three times per week, scheduled around families’ availability. The role includes assessing youth needs, participating in professional development meetings, collaborating with other providers and systems, providing on-call crisis support, and documenting services in an electronic medical record. The schedule is flexible and non-traditional. The position requires travel to meet families in their homes and communities, with mileage reimbursement for applicable travel.
