About The Position

ACNB Bank is hiring a full-time Community Banking Associate (Teller) at its Mt. Airy Office. The associate serves customers by conducting banking transactions, building relationships, identifying customer needs, and connecting customers with appropriate bank team members. The role also supports daily branch operations and compliance with internal policies and procedures. The position typically starts at $17–$18 per hour, with the possibility of higher pay based on previous experience.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Moderate reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills.
• Proficient interpersonal relations and communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Moderate computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs.
• Ability to regularly lift and/or move approximately 20 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move approximately 50 pounds of coin.

Nice To Haves

• Previous customer service and cash handling experience in a retail store, such as a Key Holder or Assistant Manager role, or in a banking environment.

Responsibilities

• Greet and assist customers in a friendly and courteous manner using the Bank Service Excellence Standards.
• Accept deposits, cash checks, accept loan payments, sell official checks, and maintain an approved level of cash.
• Ask questions to identify customer needs, enhance customer relationships, and refer customers to appropriate Community Banking team members.
• Prepare daily settlement and proof of cash transactions, and balance the cash drawer accurately and efficiently each day.
• Cooperate with and support adherence to internal policies, procedures, and practices that support risk management and overall safety and soundness.
• Mentor new associates and generate referrals to internal business partners.
