About The Position

Primarily responsible for operating the hospital switchboard, including answering internal and external calls and routing them as needed or requested. The role contacts physicians and hospital personnel, monitors hospital alarms, follows documented procedures to notify appropriate staff, and records actions taken. It also handles notifications during emergencies such as weather alerts. Effective communication is needed to excel in this position. The schedule is on-call and work is performed on an as-needed basis.
