Communications Intern - Summer 2027
About The Position
Holmes Murphy is hiring a Communications Intern for its 10-week Summer 2027 internship program in Waukee, Iowa. The onsite program offers hands-on exposure to the insurance industry through educational workshops and rotations across different lines of business. Interns develop communication skills through presentations and sharing their learning with fellow interns and business leaders, receive mentorship and guidance from industry experts, and participate in community activities and company culture. The internship is paid and includes opportunities for professional development, collaboration with experts across Holmes Murphy, and visibility into leadership, including executive-level leaders.
Requirements
- Pursuing a degree in marketing, communications, advertising, journalism, public relations, English, or a related field.
- Currently enrolled or pursuing enrollment at a four-year institution.
- Previous leadership experience during high school or college.
- Detail-oriented and organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent writing and interpersonal skills.
Nice To Haves
- Knowledge of the Adobe Suite; encouraged but not required.
- Video production or editing experience.
- Prior work experience, preferably in a similar role.
